Meet Dr. Rakhi Khanna

Nephrologist Dr. Rakhi Khanna noticed that starting peritoneal dialysis (PD) could be an overwhelming experience for her patients. 

That’s why she has introduced incremental PD into her practice, enabling patients with residual kidney function to begin PD on a lower than standard dosage, increasing as needed over time. 

This individualized approach reduces therapy time for patients – and the impact on those caring for them – allowing them dialysis-free days to focus on their lives outside of kidney disease, and the people and activities they love.
